New AP directive puts LPG-vehicle users in a spot

The decision of the Andhra Pradesh Road Transport (RTA) declaring the use of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)-powered vehicles as illegal and threatening their seizure has put scores of its users in a quandary. The Joint Transport Commissioner and Secretary RTA, Mr C.L.N. Gandhi, had warned car owners against powering their vehicles with LPG by deploying conversion kits.
