A Delhi University team of geographers has found that women forest-dwellers can be most efficient collaborators in joint forest management(JFM). The JFM is a system wherein government forestry plans are managed by rural folks and NGOs. Funded by the government and other agencies, the JFM aims at implementing sustainable development policies in forestry.
