The master plan for Jammu urban area was today appproved by the stae cabinet at a meeting. Accoding to chief secretary Dr Sudhir S Bloeria the plan shall remain in force upto 2021. He added that the new master plan ujfolds a comprehensive strategy for development of winter capital with projections of demography and spatial growth. It provides extension of Jammu urban area limits from 10464 hectares to 28792 hectares, equivalent to 288 sq. kms.
