The government has issued fresh guidelines aimed at strictly controlling quality for execution of the projects in the Rs 60,000-crore Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), following rampant reports of poor quality and maintenance besides loopholes in pinning responsibility for quality control.
