New technique can save forests, says expert

Expressing concern over the adverse impact of terrorism in organising international events, Prof Lars Christersson from Swedan, chairman of the International Organising Committee, who is at Barog, Himachal Pradesh was here to attend an international conference on world perspective on short rotation forestry for industrial and rural development. He said that short rotation forestry was a viable option for some countries to save their virgin forests where gap between demand and supply of wood was widening.
