The Rural Litigation and Entitlement Kendra (RLEK), a Dehradun-based NGO, has been selected for the UNESCO-National Literacy Mission 1998 award for innovative and experimental literacy and adult education programme for the Van Gujjar community.The award will be given to Prof. Avdhesh Kaushal, chairperson of the RLEK at a function in New Delhi on February 4 by the Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi.
