A front-ranking environmental group of Assam is in the midst of a raging controversy, with State Forest Department refuting itrs claims about discovery and rediscovery of rainforests in the State. Department officials have also accused the NGO, Nature's Beckon, of plagiarizing maps and texts on reserve forests.
