NGO spots last of rainforests in N-E with 332 rare species

The last of the rainforests in Assam is facing fast depletion due to the "gross neglect" by the state government and ignorance of the community people living around the forest areas. Nature's Beckon, a non-profit organisation working on ecology management in the state, has now stepped in to mount what it calls India's first citizen-led movement for the protection of rainforests in Assam.
