Prime Minister A B Vajpayee's dream of having an 'East-West Corridor' in the "Golden Quadrilateral" has hit a road block as it would cut through a large tract of north Bengal's fast depleting forest area. Medha Patkar, along with other NGOs is already opposing the idea.
