You neighborhood inventor, finding simple solutions to local problems, will soon have a helping hand. The National Institute of Design (NID) in Ahmedabad signed a memorandum of understanding with the Grassroots Innovation Augmentation Network (GIAN). It aims at identifying innovations by farmers and local artisans, which can be anything from an indigenously designed three wheel tractor to a cotton spinner, and make them into a marketable products.
