Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has decided to follow upgraded Bengal model for land reforms in Bihar. He has made his intention clear to the top bureaucrats in the state to set up a land reforms commission shortly to set the pace for land reforms. The land reforms were promised in the common minimum programme (CMP) of the NDA before the October-November polls.
