The Municipal Corporation of Delhi on Wednesday said no child will be denied admission in primary schools run by it due to non-submission of birth certificate. Provisional admission is being granted to every child seeking admission in primary schools after accepting an affidavit by the guardian, subject to submission of birth certificate later on, civic body officials said. "It was noticed that parents or guardians who could not immediately submit birth certificates of their children were confused as to whether they could be admitted in the municipal primary schools or not. It is in this context that the MCD has clarified its position,' civic body officials said. The MCD had issued orders relating to requirement of birth certificate so that children would not have to face any problem at the later stage.
