The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which is developing the 2010 Commonwealth Games village on the Yamuna riverbed, should have done its homework properly before choosing the site. The DDA has not taken prior permission from the Ministry of Water Resources for developing the games village. After the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) objections, the Central Ground Water Authority of the Ministry of Water Resources has also raised objection to construction of the village on the Yamuna riverbed.
