Preparations for the Commonwealth Games 2010 may have hit a hurdle with ministry of environment and forest (MoEF) objecting to the construction of the Games Village by DDA on Yamuna river bed. The MoEF refusal to the construction of any permanent structure is a blow to DDA which is running against time to complete the Village by December 2009. Even though there is already massive construction on the river bed in the form of the Akshardham Temple, the ministry has raised the red flag.
