The Government said in Parliament that it does not have enough funds to check the pollution of the Ganga. "I don't have the money. This year we asked for Rs. 7,000 crore. Where we have done the work, it is visible. But many stretches and nodes are not covered by our plans. So the entire flow gets contaminated," Environment and Forests Minister A. Raja told the Rajya Sabha during question hour.
