No new land for Salim Group, says minister

No multi-crop agricultural land will be handed over to the Salim Ciputra Group to set up the township in west Howrah, the state land and land reforms minister Mr Abdul Rezzak Mollah said in the Assembly. He said the Salim group has not yet submitted the detailed project report (DPR) to his department. The report will focus on the nature of the proposed projects. Tabling a motion on transparency in allotting land, Mr Saugata Roy said despite the good intentions of Mr Mollah, agricultural land will be handed over to the Salim group as chief minister Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee has assured them land in West Howrah.
