The Supreme Court directed that unauthorised colonies in the capital cannot be regularised unless the Delhi government is able to provide "basic amenities'. A bench headed by Chief Justice Y K Sabharwal said today: "In case the state authorities are not in a position to make available the basic services in respect whereof it is admitted that there are severe limitations, there shall be no regularisation of unauthorised colonies.' The bench was hearing a public interest litigation on pollution of the Yamuna.
