No test-failed vehicles within Ring Road

The Nepal Government is banning vehicles which have failed emission tests from plying on the streets inside Ring Road from next year, director general of the Department of Transport Management, Baid Nath Mallik said. Till date, the department, coordinating between the Ministry of Population and Environment and Traffic Police, has declared nine different streets and pockets of Kathmandu as "pollution free zones". Vehicles which have failed pollution tests are barred from entering those zones.
