The Delhi High Court has ordered an inquiry into the afforestation project of the Delhi Energy Development Agency (DEDA) in village Ujwa, Najafgarh, after it found that there was hardly any evidence of trees in the area. The DEDA, which is under the control of Delhi government, had earlier told the court that it had spent Rs 17 lakh on the afforestation project, which included plantation of 60,000 tree saplings.
