The Noida Authority will introduce an integrated transport management system and add 170 new buses including 50 mini-buses and 20 semi-low floor buses to enhance mobility in the wake of rapid expansion in the area. The Authority has joined hands with the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation to connect more areas with the six metro railway stations in Noida, Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Saran said. He said the Corporation currently plies 241 buses every day in Noida and Greater Noida, out of which 196 have been provided by Noida and Greater Noida. The new system will help commuters ascertain the waiting time and location of the bus while they wait at bus stops. He said a dedicated body for development of public transport infrastructure in Noida and Greater Noida is awaiting government approval. - PTI
