A significant victory came the way of the nomads and people living in or around protected forest areas as the Uttaranchal Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Mr. Mohan Singh Gaonwasi, announced that the traditional rights of the people for grazing and other access to natural resources in forests would continue for the next five years.
