Novel methods for conservaing water

  • 06/06/1999

A number of novel methods are being evolved in different parts of the State for conserving water and to meet the threat of ground water depletion. Under the Ground Water Conservation Mission launched by Dewas District Government new techniques have been adopted to increase ground water table by collecting rain water and checking the water flowing from tubewells. To collect rain water and roof water harvesting technique can be adopted and for water recharging percolation pit can be created. These are less expensive methods and are effective in rural areas to combat drinking water problem.
