The first tree bank of quality trees of different species is coming up in this part of the Patiala region of Punjab. The bank is being developed on forest land at Ghalori village, about 7 kms from Patiala on the Patiala-Sanaur road. After developing the bank, the department proposes to undertake multiplication of the top quality trees through colonal technology and saplings of these would be made available to the farmers.
