NTPC will set up two run of the river projects with a combined capacity of 1,120 MW in Uttaranchal. While Loharinag-Pala Hydro Project (600 MW) will be set up on the Bhagirathi river in Uttarkashi district, Tapovan-Vishnugad (520 MW) is the scheme across the Dhauliganga in Alaknanda valley in Chamoli district.
