Tulasipur (Dang), July 13: Number of patients suffering from different diseases has increased in the district for the few days. According to the government hospitals in the district—Rapti Sub-Regional Hospital, Ghorahi, and Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulasipur—number of patients suffering from different diseases including fever, typhoid, pneumonia, vomiting, and cold and cough has increased in the hospitals with the start of rainy season due to contaminated water. Dr Kishor Khatri of the Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulasipur, said that around 60 patients suffering from different diseases visit the hospital daily for the past one week. Consumption of contaminated water, stale food and drenching in the rain in course of working in the farm are the causes behind the increasing the number of patients, said Dr Khatri. He suggested not to drain in the rain, to drink boiled water if possible, otherwise to drink water only after putting piyush or potash and not to eat decomposed and stale food. RSS
