The new draft national water policy and the proposed guidelines for allocation of river basin water amongst states will be discussed in the 4th meeting of the National Water Resources Council (NWRC) on July 7. The fourth meeting of the NWRC will be presided over by Prime Minister A B Vajapyee. After the adoption of the draft national water policy and its related guidelines by the council, it will be implemented by the government.
