A MLA belonging to the ruling Congress party today raised the issue of rapidly depleting forests, in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, and accused the Madhya Pradesh Forest Department officials of conniving with those involved in massive felling and smuggling of timber from the Maihar forests in Satna District.
