India's giant oil refineries have a colossal problem disposing of the 20 million odd kilograms of oil sludge they churn out each year as waste. Now the giants are turning to a cocktail of five soil bacteria to help them out. Concocted by Indian biologist Banwari Lal, the cocktail is reclaiming the country's sludge-contaminated land.
