The Karnataka State Transport Department has decided to ban commercial transport vehicles, over 20 years old, from entering city limits from July 1. The announcement comes a few days after this website's newspaper pointed out the apparent reluctance of authorities in implementing the ban, which was put off twice. A press release issued by the Indiranagar Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Afzal Ahmed Khan here on Wednesday said these vehicles would be stopped at entry points on the Outer Ring Road.
