Big cats face a bigger threat: Almost all the illegal wildlife trade in India - including trade in tiger parts, ivory, musk and bear bile - is destined for use outside India's borders where traditional oriential medicine, and the use of wildlife products is still widespread, said Ms Belinda Wright, member of the wildlife Protection Society of India. Ms Wright was speaking at the Third Asian Conservation Alliance general assembly at the India International Centre on Monday. Delegates from Japan, Taiwan, Russia, Thailand, South Korea and India are attending the two-day meet in which for "the first time a group of NGOs from consumer countries have come to witness the problems faced at the source point here in India."
