DONKAMOKAM, Sept 19: Khom Sangma (65), of village Wakanta group nine kilometres away from Donkamokam died after he was attacked by wild elephants. The victim was at his farm house at Borbil of Nagaon district looking after paddy, on that night. It was learnt that two days back, a group of elephants entered Borthoiso village of Karbi Anglong from Nagaon area and destroyed more than eight houses and a fully-grown paddy crop in the field. The conflict between the man and animals is not new, and it occurs due to the destruction of Animal habits, due to which elephants often come to human vegetation in search of food, due to non availability of food in the forest.
