One lakh acres of non-agriculture land will be acquired Statewide for setting up industries, said Minister for Large and medium scale Industries Murugesh Nirani. Speaking to mediapersons in the city on Monday, he said, that the deputy commissioners were instructed to identify lands that are non-arable but suitable for setting up industries. Accordingly such lands are identified in 18 districts and notification has been issued for primary land acquisition process. The land acquisition process will be completed in the next six months, he said. The farmers who give up their lands will be compensated and in case the children of farmers wish to establish industry they will be given developed industrial land, the minister explained. Investors
