Amidst the possibility of mega thermal power projects being set up in Orissa, 20 mini and micro hydel proposals, having capacity to generate 250 MW of energy, have been cleared by the State Government, the Energy Minister, Mr Surya Narayan Patra, said. Private Companies would operate these projects and the Government would purchase the power generated in a buyback arrangement, the Minister said.
