The Orissa Wood Based Industries Council (OWBIC) expects the state government to constitute a state Forest Advisory Committee to review the Orissa Saw Mill and Saw Pits (Control) Act 1991 and Rules of 1993 before bringing any amendment to it. The OWBIC feels that the committee which is imperative for formulating and implementing various policies relating to forest and environment should have members representing the council too.
