August will be the Day of Mar watchers: The red planet will come closest to our home in 60,000 years on that day. The planet, "getting bigger" since the beginning of May will be the brightest object in the night sky of 27 August. It'll start "shrinking" again in September, said Dr Debi Prasad Duari, head of BM Birla Planetarium's research and academic wing.
