The Outer Ring Road project will affect 84 villages in Ranga Reddy district, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh besides five places of worship and an educational institution. Under phase-1, the ORR will pass through 15 villages and 69 villages in Phase II, municipal administration minister Koneru Ranga Rao informed the Assembly. He told Mr G. Kishan Reddy (BJP), Mr Akbaruddin Owaisi (MIM) and others that farmers were agitated that compensation was not as per market rates. "Compensation is being paid as per the Land Acquisition Act,' he said. An extent of 314 acres of land had been acquired for ORR phase-1 and 2,066 acres was being acquired for setting up industries.
