Over 3,000 poultry birds culled

JAMALPUR district livestock officials culled 3,302 poultry birds and destroyed 1,955 pieces of egg in two poultry farms in the Jamalpur district headquarters on Sunday night, after detection of bird flu. According to the district livestock officials, the bird flu was detected in Sultan poultry farm at village Helencha and Nabodiganto poultry farm at village Hajipara. The livestock officials culled 963 fowls and destroyed 210 pieces of eggs at Sultan poultry farm, and 2,339 fowls and 1,745 pieces of egg at the other farm.
