Over Rs 100 cr. spent on greening canal area

A total of Rs 101 crores have been spent on the forestry and pasture development programme being implemented in the command area of Indira Gandhi Canal Project with the financial assistance of the Japan-based Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund (OECD). This expenditure was incurred by the end of March this year, according to the Chief Forest Conservator of Forestry and Pasture Development Programme, Mr. B.L. Meena.
