Over Rs73 crore has been sanctioned for 23 road construction projects in various divisions of the State.. These roads will cover a total distance of 120.91. These works were recommended at the standing finance committee of the Public Works department recently. Besides these roads, recommendation for the construction of two bridges had also been made. Of the sanctioned works, over Rs23 crore would be utilised for the construction of seven roads in Bhopal, Hoshangabad and Vidisha districts of Bhopal division, over Rs29 crore for nine roads in Indore, Dhar and Khargone districts of Indore division, over Rs4 crore for two roads in Morena district and over Rs6.5 crore for construction of two roads in Damoh district of Sagar division. One road each has been recommended in Gwalior and Rewa districts at a cost of over Rs3.5 crore each In Bhopal district, 3.62 km road from Piplani B Sector toKhajuri Kalan Bypass would be constructed at a cost of Rs 436.73 lakh, 2.05 km road from village Rapdiya to Bangrasia at a cost of Rs140.99 lakh and 4.46 km road from village Deepdi to Samardha Kaliyasote. In Hoshangabad city, 0.86 km four-lane road would be built from Satrasta to Nehru Park overhead tank at a cost of Rs187.30 lakh. Similarly, 8.60 km road from Padriya-Rangai via Karhaiya to Vidhan Road would be built in Vidisha at a cost of Rs563.16 lakh, 4.54 km road from Dasipur Gunjari to Hydergarh at a cost of Rs 290.16 lakh and 6.88 km road from Atari Khejda to Dinghora-Manora would be laid at a cost of Rs395 crore. In Indore division, 2 km Janapao Temple approach road would be built at a cost of Rs231.46 lakh in Indore district, 5.50 km road from Govardhan Gaushala to Hingonia Junction Road (NABARD scheme) at a cost of Rs215.79 lakh, 9.5 kilometer road from Beka to Raskunda-Kulthana Road at a cost of Rs686.24 crore and three km long road from Kolani to Sherpur would be laid at a cost of Rs216.99 lakh. In Dhar district, 4.86 km road would be constructed at a cost of Rs288.36 lakh from Kanbarwa to Gandhwani and 8.55 km road from Gandhwani to Chikli would be built at a cost of Rs463.88 lakh. In Khargone district, 8.80 km road would be constructed from Satrati to Bhoinda at a cost of Rs414.98 lakh and 2.60 km road from Kothabuzurg to Kothakhurd at a cost of Rs 114.70 lakh. In Khandwa, 6.42 km road would be constructed under NABRAD Scheme from Bhakrada to Bamangaon Khedikitta at a cost of Rs292.51 crore. Rs224.85 lakh would be spent on construction of 6 km road from Rajora to Satho via Nagela Road in Morena district and Rs181.08 lakh would be spent on 4.60 km road from Taraini to Durgadas Ki Garhi via Dhot Keerat. In Damoh district, Rs450.59 lakh would be spent on construction of 7.10 km road from Kaikhera to Harijantola Tigra and Rs. 207.52 lakh on 4 km from Jhagri (Waisli) Karaiya Rakh-Laxmankuti.
