Over the moon

After an historic series of manned missions lasting from July 1969 through December 1972, the American lunar adventure went into a coma for the next 32 years. President Bush's new vision of Earth's natural satellite as a base for mission into deeper space, including Mars and other worlds missions. It has offered a $250,000 prize to any scientist, or group of scientists, who can discover a way of extracting oxygen from moon dust. (Editorial).
