Even if all the countries of the world sincerely implement the Montreal Protocol of 1987 for phasing out the elements depleting the ozone layer around earth, the chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and other toxic chemicals already released in the atmosphere will remain active for another 100 years. The status of ozone layer, as it was in 1986, will return only after 2086 A.D.
