Says It's Satisfied With Changes Made By J&K Power Development Corporation

ISLAMABAD has cleared Baglihar project saying it is satisfied with the changes that J&K's state-run Power Development Corporation (PDC) has effected in its design as was recommended by the World Bank-appointed neutral expert Professor Raymond Lafitte early last year.
Pakistan Indus Water commissioner Syed Jamaat Ali Shah who visited the project early this week examined the changes. They have been executed as per the World Bank award,' reports quoting Mr Shah said.
Mr Lafitte had recommended that PDC should raise the power intake by three meters from the level of 818 metres to 821 metres. Besides, it also
