Pakistan contributing to ecological disorder

experts : While predicting a major ecological disaster in Pakistan within the next decade, environmentalists and forests experts have said that a beginning has already been made with merciless felling of trees and large-scale destruction of forests in NWFP and the forest area in Afghanistan bordering this province. Not mincing words, these experts have put the blame squarely on the top political leadership of the province which, they alleged, had been bribing government supporters, sitting in the assemblies, and corrupt forest officials "many of whom have made billions through their uncanny and immoral practices of denuding the forest areas in Frontier and Kunar Valley of Afghanistan bordering Dir and Bajaur."
