The Minister for Environemnt and Forests, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, announced formation of a high-powered committee consisting of representatives of Central as well as State Governments to carefully examine records of Zudupi jungle land particularly in Vidarbha region.Zudupi land, which have been put to non-forest use, for building,agriculture, construction and industries, will be recommended for exclusion from the preview of the Forest Conservation Act.
