The Karnataka State Cabinet today decided to constitute a Cabinet sub-committee to identify persons who have encroached upon forest land of various categories, and also work out an action plan that would suggest ways to safeguard the interests of encroachers. Information Minister Kagodu Thimmappa said the Cabinet was of the view that a fresh look at the problems faced by the families which have encroached upon forest land was essential.
