- Panel to study drinking water problems

The Kerala State Government has decided to appoint a high-level committee to study and make recommendations for solving the drinking water scarcity faced by the State. This was announced by the Chief MInister, Mr. E.K. Nayanar, after a meeting of the State Cabinet here.The Cabinet also decided to assign one minister for each of the 14 districts for monitoring drinking water supply during the current summer.
