After years of contemplation, the Capital will finally be getting its first fully automated multi-level parking lot where vehicles will be parked without any human intervention. The five-level underground parking, with a capacity to park over
1,500 cars at a time, is being developed for the Delhi High Court by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The parking lot will come up on around 10,000 square metres of land across Gate number 4/5 of the high court and will be connected to the complex with a vehicular underpass
(see map). The ground above the parking lot will be landscaped.
The lobby where cars will be dropped off and collected from will be located in the Basement 2 level and connected to the tunnel. The rest of the floors will house the 1,518 parking slots and circulation areas.
