Having tasted and relished the sweet fruits of Green Revolution, it is time for Haryana to swallow its bitter pills. If critical environmental issues like soil erosion, generation of dust and soil compaction due to heavy machinery have emerged as major challenges, the State is also grappling with the serious problems of decrease in productivity and depletion of its bio-diversity.
