The Union Finance Ministry has asked the rural developement ministry to review its assessment of Rs 15 lakhs for constructing one kilometre of "metal top roads" and the demand for funds upto Rs 4,000 crores (annaully for over four years) apart from the funds allocated in the Union Budget 2005-06 , for building rural infrastructure under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
