The joint forest management being implemented through the Vana Samrakshana Samitis in the Andhra Pradesh was yielding encouraging results, according to District Forest Officer Nalini Mohan. Addressing a press conference, he said the joint forest management, which was intially taken up in an extent of 100 acres in the Anantapur district on an experimental basis has now been extended to 72,000 acres.
